Promoting Talent

Looking to boost staff morale and enhance recruiting and retention in the process?

In today's business environment, skilled accounting professionals have myriad job opportunities available to them and often can be selective when choosing an employer. In Promoting Your Talent: A Guidebook for Women and Their Firms (issued by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants' Work/Life and Women's Initiatives Executive Committee), author Nancy R. Ron Yates

It's an exciting time to be a CPA.  The job market for CPAs in Montana and around the country is phenomenal and demand shows no sign of dropping off anytime soon.

Because of this demand, many graduates from our Montana accounting programs pursue great professional opportunities out-of-state.  However, we find that down the road many of these top-notch Montana graduates desire to return to Big Sky Country for personal and professional reasons, such as family considerations, quality of life, and advancement opportunities.

In the past, no formal or easy  method existed for Montana employers to communicate job opportunities to this large pool of out-of-state accountants, nor for these professionals to monitor opportunities or inform potential employers of their desire to return to Montana.  The Montana Connection Project is a fantastic solution to this dilemma!

The goal of the MSCPA Montana Connection Project is to establish and maintain lines of communication between Montana CPA firms and accounting graduates from Montana universities and colleges.

The Montana Connection Project will serve to benefit Montana employers seeking the best and brightest candidates to fill professional accounting positions -- candidates with roots in this great state.

Likewise, graduates of Montana schools can easily communicate their desire to return in-state and/or monitor existing professional employment opportunities around Montana.  I believe this project is a win-win opportunity for our accounting profession that provides a true "Montana Connection!"
